Since its inception in 1985, when first established by the partners of Battens Solicitors, the Trust has been a beacon of hope and generosity, raising substantial funds to make a tangible difference within the local community.

Over the past 40 years, Battens Charitable Trust has raised an impressive amount of money, all of which has been directed towards a wide range of local initiatives, which have benefitted both organisations and people alike.

One of the key pillars of Battens Charitable Trust's mission is to ensure that the benefit of every penny raised is targeted towards the Trust’s beneficiaries. This dedication to transparency and accountability has earned the Trust the admiration and respect of donors and beneficiaries alike. In 2025, as we celebrate the significant milestone of our 40^th anniversary, we reflect on the countless lives that have been touched by the Trust's generosity. Highlights of the Trust's contributions include:

• Education: Funding for schools and educational programmes, including support for educational equipment.
• Community Projects: Support for community events and initiatives including local foodbanks and groups including the scouts and brownies.

During the last decade alone, the Trust has raised and donated over £537,000.
