Jacqui Swann

Jacqui is Team Leader of the Property Dispute Resolution team with extensive experience acting for individuals and companies in all manner of property disputes.

Her specialism is landlord and tenant disputes: commercial, residential and agricultural. She acts for either side in contentious actions in courts all over the country in matters such as mortgage and rental possessions, disrepair, unlawful evictions, lease renewals and dilapidations.

She also handles cases in respect of long leasehold disputes, particularly service charges, lease variations and enfranchisement in the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).

Jacqui works with the agricultural team at Battens advising in relation to issues arising out of Farm Business Tenancies, Agricultural Holding Act tenancies and agricultural workers’ rights of occupation.

Jacqui has a strong and respected reputation nationwide with agents, local authorities, property developers and those with large property portfolios as well as individuals. She is renowned for her skills and expertise by other local law firms who regularly refer work to her. Jacqui is a recognised expert in her field, speaking at landlord forums and seminars and she has also written a number of articles on the ever-changing rental market.

Prior to Property Disputes, Jacqui worked in the Debt Recovery department at Battens. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and a qualified CILEX advocate.
