Michelle has a wealth of experience to offer clients, having worked exclusively in the fields of Personal Injury and Industrial Disease since 1998 and following her qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2003.

Michelle provides support and advice to clients who are often experiencing the greatest challenges following the loss of a loved one or from suffering extensive and serious injury. Career Highlights:

  • Successfully representing the widow of a former client, for whom a provisional damages claim had previously be made, in obtaining compensation under the terms of the provisional damages order when the former client sadly passed away from an asbestos related illness.
  • Successfully obtaining compensation for a client following serious road traffic accident in which they suffered traumatic injuries that affected a potential professional sporting career and where private treatment was obtained in order to help treat those injuries.
  • Successfully obtaining a significant level of compensation in a claim where liability was contented throughout and where the compensation obtained included the costs of future private surgery as there was a significant risk that the client would require specialist surgery in the future. The compensation also accounted for the risk that the effects of the injury would affect the client’s career prospects in the future.

Many clients can apply to be represented under conditional fee agreements, so called no-win no-fee agreements. Michelle is experienced in dealing with these agreements and with clients who have legal expenses insurance. Michelle will always advise on the funding arrangement that is in the best interest of each client.

“I cannot thank Michelle enough for her help, her friendly approach and expertise in my case. I was recommended by a friend to use Michelle for an injury after becoming overwhelmed with many online injury claim lawyers promoting lots of confusing and conflicting services. In what was a very traumatic and difficult time, Michelle made me feel very at ease and communicated with me effectively through the entire process. She went above and beyond over the 18 months my case was ongoing and won the case. I would highly recommend her and her team to anyone. Her advice was brilliant and she fully explained everything to me in plain English so I could make an informed, full decision at every turn. Thank you again, you are an absolute credit to Battens.”
